In the cool of the evening...

Out walking Dakota around the block in the rain tonight. The picky little pooch still doesn't like to get his paws wet on his own, so he doesn't like to help himself to the backyard. However, he isn't one to turn down a walk - rain or no rain.

Dining Out For Life At Mikey Moe's

MikeyMoe's left a great impression when I first strolled in some months ago. Being just a few minute walk around the block, I had been tempted to patronize them more often. 

The food has been delicious and the service friendly. Mike and his brother handle most of the business both in the front and back of the house.

However, time and finances often precluded me from stopping in more frequently.

That said, Angie and I were able to make it in for Dining Out For Life last night. MM was one of the few places, including Iron Barley, in the are participating according to the DOFL website.

Whether customers were in support or not, MM was as full as I have seen it during the week which was good to see.

With a great spicy chicken sandwich on the menu and Cardinals baseball on the t.v., I expect to find myself there more often this summer.

Snow Today, Gone Tomorrow

It was nice to have been almost the first to clear my walk.

That said, I knew it wouldn't last.

Now my lawn is a muddy stretch from the driveway to the door.
